Spencer Matthews reveals he’s leaving his podcast with spouse Vogue Williams as she confirms member of the family will take over as co-host

Spencer Matthews has announced he is stepping down from the popular podcast he hosts with his wife Vogue Williams, Spencer & Vogue.

The married couple launched their podcast more than four years ago and have had huge success with the show and even taken it on the road for a live tour.

However on Tuesday, the entrepreneur, 36, revealed he was planning to leave the show to focus on other projects and an upcoming ‘adventure’.

Speaking on the latest episode of the podcast, Spencer announced that he has taken the decision to step away as co-host.

He said: ‘I’m moving on from this podcast to pursue other business interests and focus on my upcoming challenge. I’ve loved doing this show and it would never have been as popular as it would be without the listeners.

‘I’ll miss the show enormously and Vogue, I’ll miss working with you in this capacity but I will be replaced by somebody of equal or superior charisma, much funnier, very happy to talk about gossip, but we both love her very much and she’s an epic member of our family and she’ll do an incredible job!’

Vogue said: ‘I’ll obviously be sad to see you go, but I see you all day everyday, so I’ll be sad to see you go, but I won’t miss you, because I’ll see you at home! Spencer & Vogue will continue and we will keep it in the family!’

Vogue confirmed that her sister Amber Wilson would be taking over as co-host and the show will be renamed Vogue & Amber.

Amber has previously joined Vogue on podcasts as a guest, but will take the reins as co-host full time where Vogue and Amber will talk all things showbiz, family and everything in-between!

Amber said ‘Vogue finally twisted my arm – here I am sitting in a podcast seat with her! I’m buzzing to be joining the podcast with my best friend and sister Vogue.

‘Big shoes to fill, but don’t worry, Vogue and I are coming in hot with all the fun, energy, and juicy gossip you can handle.

‘And you’ll all finally get a chance to get to know me – the funnier sister! We’ll be giving listeners a peek behind the curtain of our family life, sisterly antics, and, Spencer, rest easy, I know exactly how to push Vogue’s buttons!’

Launched in August 2020, Spencer & Vogue gave listeners a weekly window into the lives of its hosts and their three children Theodore, five, Gigi, three, and Otto, two.

They would discuss the chaos of raising three children, the secrets to a successful marriage, balancing busy work lives with pleasure, and everything in between.

While Spencer revealed he is leaving to pursue other ventures, the couple also recently touched on their personal lives when they opened up about whether they plan to expand their family.

In September, Vogue admitted she ‘has a timer on herself’ when it comes to deciding on baby number four with husband Spencer.

Vogue said Spencer would have another ‘straight away’, but Vogue candidly discussed the struggles she faces having to carry a baby for nine months and feeling tired as she approaches 40.

Speaking in an interview with The Sun, Vogue admitted: ‘I had a timer on myself thinking: “I’ll decide at the end of this summer,’ and now it’s the end of summer and I still really just don’t know.

‘If I said: “Let’s go with it,” Spencer would do it straight away, but I think of the logistics, whereas he doesn’t. And he doesn’t have to carry a baby for nine months, so it’s a bit more of a decision for me.’

The model joked: ‘I’ll probably be still thinking about it when I’m 50! I don’t want to have a child when I’m 40, because I feel like I’m going to start getting tired. That’s when I want to be going into my granny era and chilling out!’

Vogue & Amber is available to listen to from the 14th of January on Global Player, and all major podcast platforms

The couple already share three children Theodore, five, Gigi, three, baby Otto, 21 months, with Vogue saying Spencer would have another ‘straight away’
