Zara Tindall cuts a classy determine as she enjoys a spot of retail remedy on the Gold Coast

She’s the daughter of Princess Anne who has been enjoying the horse racing action at the Magic Millions Carnival on the Gold Coast.

And Zara Tindall, 43, took a break from the glitz and glamour of the prestigious event for a spot of retail therapy on Wednesday.

The niece of King Charles was spotted doing some shopping at Budds Beach, in the heart of Surfer’s Paradise.

Zara cut a casual figure as she stepped out for what appeared to be a solo shopping trip, leaving husband Mike Tindall, 46, to his own devices.

She wore a summery, light blue striped short sleeve shirt that was tied in a knot at the waist.

Zara matched her breezy top with a pair of white shorts that featured a rolled cuff.

The shorts finished at Zara’s thigh and flaunted her toned and trim pins.

She completed her casual ensemble with a pair of plain white sneakers and a pair of translucent-framed sunglasses.

Tying her blonde locks back for the shopping trip, Zara accessorised with a brown leather cross body bag and carried a second plain white shopping bag containing a recent purchase.

Zara appeared happy to mingle with the locals as she took in some window shopping.

She appeared particularly enamoured with racks of hats that stood on the sidewalk out the front of one store.

She was also seen eyeing off a table containing the Finnish wood chucking game Finska, suggesting that Zara was planning some fun on the sand later in the day. 

Zara and Mike have been enjoying an Australian summer at the Magic Millions Carnival., of which Zara is an ambassador.

Her current Down Under trip has not been without incident however.

During a photoshoot this week, Zara narrowly avoided injury after a horse reared and landed on her.

The incident came just six months after her mother, Princess Anne, was kicked in the head in a riding accident and left with memory loss.

Zara and Mike, meanwhile are frequent visitors to Australian shores and were last in the country last year. 

The pair spent Christmas back in the UK before recently returning Down Under for the Magic Millions.

Zara and Mike aren’t working royals and don’t take money from the Sovereign Grant and fund their lifestyle through various brand deals.

In 2012, Zara was announced as the first Magic Millions Racing Women Ambassador.

Magic Millions has been a regular fixture in Zara’s calendar since that year, when she became its patron following her Olympic silver medal win in London.

She now travels to Surfers Paradise in Queensland every year for the Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Seven days of auctions which culminate in a major race meeting where all contenders are horses bought at previous Magic Millions auctions.

During their trip to Australia last year, Zara and Mike were seen at luxury boutiques and taking in wine tours.

The married couple speak fondly of the country as it is where their love story began.

They met at Sydney bar in 2003 while Mike was ‘drowning his sorrows’ after being cut from the England World Cup squad and Zara was on a gap year.

The pair have been married since 2011 and have three children – Mia Grace Tindall, 10, Lucas Tindall, three, and Lena Elizabeth Tindall, six.

During a trip Down Under in 2020 they even rang in the New Year in Sydney with an A-list crowd including Rebel Wilson.
