Cher got fed up with Jimmy Kimmel while appearing on his late-night talk show on Tuesday evening as she answered some rapid fire questions about her life.
While promoting the second part of her book Cher: The Memoir, the Goddess of Pop, 78, grew wearier by the minute, before declaring his questions ‘so dumb.’
The remark came after he grilled her about how she hadn’t started writing the second part of the book, which is set to be released on November 18, 2025.
‘The second part of your book, have you finished that yet?’ Kimmel asked, which seemed to trigger the singer.
At first, Cher responded with a laugh, before admitting that she hadn’t ‘even started it.’
‘Is that true?’ Kimmel pressed, which prompted Cher to shoot him an icy look.

Kimmel, then, defended his question as he pointed out it was questionable she would pull off the November release if she hasn’t ‘even started it.’
As she remained quiet, he quipped: ‘So it’s not coming out in November.’
‘Yes, it is,’ Cher insisted, to which Kimmel teased ‘we’ll see.’
While she smirked at his comment, Kimmel continued to poke fun at the idea that she would pull together the second part of her book in just nine months.
‘November of what year?’ he scoffed, before offering his assistance on the memoir.
Cher proceeded to politely decline his ‘help.’
Toward the end of the interview, Kimmel began to ask another question, which began by him asking ‘if you could turn back time [a clear reference to her hit single If I Could Turn Back Time].’
Before he could finish his sentence, she shut him down.

‘This is so dumb,’ she said, before trying to answer which year she would relive.
Cher mused that she doesn’t remember which year she would relive because she’s ‘dyslexic,’ but would go back to being 60 again even though the year she turned 40 was the ‘best.’
As they prepared to close off the interview, Kimmel sincerely thanked Cher for coming on as a guest and said he hoped she returned in ‘November—if, indeed, you get the book finished.’
‘You’re a lot nicer and funnier than I thought you would be,’ she retorted.
