Elon Musk scheming to get rid of Keir Starmer and Nigel Farage in bid to destabilise Britain

Elon Musk is scheming to get rid of Keir Starmer and Nigel Farage in a bid to destabilise Britain, according to bombshell reports.

The tech billionaire is said to be looking at how he and his right-wing pals in the US can disrupt the Labour government and remove Mr Starmer as Prime Minister, according to people briefed on the matter.

And he is also examining the different ways to replace Mr Farage as Reform UK leader, the people told the Financial Times. This includes looking at potential candidates who could replace Mr Farage, such as Reform MP Rupert Lowe.

One said that Mr Musk’s view “is that western civilisation itself is threatened”. He is looking into different ways he could build support for other parties, such as Reform UK, in a bid to damage Mr Starmer’s popularity and push him out of No10 before the next election.

British citizens are next due to vote in a general election in 2029. But it is not unheard of for Prime Ministers – including Tony Blair and Boris Johnson – to be forced out of office mid-Parliament due to sinking support.

Mr Musk’s interventions are raising questions about foreign interference in UK politics. He himself suggested he is against such interference, having previously declared “war” on Labour after party activists merely campaigned “in their spare time” for Kamala Harris. He also raised eyebrows when it was rumoured he was going to make a multimillion-pound donation to Reform UK.

The tech billionaire, who owns Tesla and X/Twitter, has been using his social media platform to launch a barrage of attacks on Mr Starmer over the grooming gangs scandal in recent weeks. Since New Years Day, he has posted hundreds of vile messages about the PM and safeguarding minister Jess Phillips.

On Monday the PM hit out at “those who are spreading lies and misinformation” and said the billionaire had “crossed a line” after his abuse led to Ms Phillips receiving serious threats.

The uproar from Mr Musk, who is a key aide to Donald Trump, is in response to the Labour government rejecting a new national inquiry into the scandal. Ministers maintain that victims need “action” and not more inquiries.

David Lammy on Thursday morning said we needed to focus on “the truth” and “facts”. Asked what he would like to say to Mr Musk following his posts online, the Foreign Secretary told BBC Breakfast: “Well, I insist that we focus on the truth, we focus on the facts. I recognise that there is a heated debate about free speech and Elon Musk is at one end of that debate.

“But to have free speech it must be based on facts and on truth, and some of what we’ve seen online is peddling mistruth, is creating bad faith, is very unfair to those victims.”

Elsewhere Mr Musk turned on Mr Farage at the weekend after previously backing him. In humiliation for Mr Farage, the X boss posted online: “The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn’t have what it takes.” It came hours after the Reform UK leader described Mr Musk as a “hero” whose support made his party look “cool”. In December Mr Farage held an hour-long meeting with Mr Musk amid speculation he could donate to Reform UK.
