The unnamed player was released without charge after a woman claimed he filmed their sex sessions without her consent – but his club have still yet to comment on the incident
A Premier League star was dramatically nicked in the middle of a training session and reportedly accused of filming a sex tape without consent. Cops swooped in during a morning drill for a six-hour grilling before releasing him without charge, The Sun reports.
The unnamed footballer was marched off the pitch to the shock of his teammates, who first thought it was a joke. A gobsmacked source told The Sun: “A lot of stars initially thought it was a prank when two uniformed officers strode on to the pitches during training. Everyone was in disbelief. Players were open-mouthed. No one was sure what was going on.”
Police confirmed: “A man in his 20s was arrested at an address, on suspicion of voyeurism. It was determined no further action would be taken due to insufficient evidence.”
Allegedly, cops seized two mobile phones to scour for naughty clips after a woman claimed the international ace filmed their romp despite her protests. She felt ‘violated’ and ‘humiliated’, she told friends after saying she had refused to film or take part in a threesome.
Despite the drama, the player was back at practice by Friday, prepping for an FA Cup clash, reports the Mirror.
The club refused The Sun’s requests for comment.
