A Primark store is getting a dose of Springfield excitement with its new Simpsons themedd cafe. Complete with limited edition menus and eye-catching decor, the branch in Princes Street, Edinburgh has seen various transformations such as The Grinch and The Lion King.
But now it’s gearing up for a special makeover inspired by the beloved Channel 4 cartoon series featuring the iconic family – Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie.
This month, several UK storeswill invite fans to savour a selection of waffles, toasties, and an assortment of drinks and shakes inspired by the family. Highlights include a chocolate marshmallow hot chocolate and a sumptuous strawberry doughnut shake.
Primark has teased the public with sneak peeks showing off the pink-hued decor and oversized cut-outs of the popular sitcom characters. The Edinburgh cafe opened its doors for the first time over the weekend.
Tim Kelly, Primark‘s director of new business development said: “We’re serving up a slice of Springfield with our latest cafe theme, giving fans a taste of The Simpsons right in our stores.
“We’re always looking for new ways to create fun and memorable experiences for our customers and our themed cafes have been a big hit. We can’t wait to see everyone’s reaction in store.”
Foodies will also be tempted by items like the Butter Bacon Waffle, drenched with caramel sauce and fudge pieces, alongside the hefty loaded toastie stuffed with beef, melted cheddar, pink pickled onions, and rocket, all served beside a portion of hand-cut crisps, reports Edinburgh Live.
It comes after Christmas time saw The Grinch cafe open in some select stores across the county with a range of festive themed delights on offer to fans of the movie.
