The League One match between Blackpool and Huddersfield Town has been delayed due to a medical emergency.

The game was brought to a halt in the 16th minute after a signal from the stands caught the attention of the referee, who stopped the play so the incident could be attended to.

Blackpool’s official X account released a statement following the stoppage, which read: “Stoppage in play as a fan in the stadium is being treated for a medical emergency. We send them our best wishes.”

Play resumed seven minutes later, with Blackpool’s social media account adding: “Play has restarted and we wish everyone involved the very best.”
