All the A-list celebrities showing at Trump’s inauguration – and who snubbed him

A-listers and politicians are brushing shoulders today as thousands gathered to see Donald Trump sworn in at the presidential inauguration – but some notable figures have snubbed the day

Donald Trump has been sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.

The Republican is set to embark on his second term in office, after winning a landslide against Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris. Today, Monday January 20, marks a national holiday for the US as they celebrate Martin Luther King Jr day, an occasion to mark equality in the country. Now, however, the focus was on Washington DC as Trump made his first presidential address of this run.

Several A-listers made the journey down to the White House to celebrate their new leader. Familiar faces from TV, music and social media arrived throughout the day – with many more expected to arrive following Trump swearing on the Bible.

Back in 2017, Trump did not have many famous attendees, but as he declared during a press conference last year, “in this term, everybody wants to be [my] friend.” Today, several faces are expected to make an appearance – including politicians from other countries.

A Presidential Inaugural Committee spokesperson confirmed country singer Carrie Underwood will not only appear at the inauguration, but she will also perform. she will perform a rendition of America the Beautiful.

Underwood has not spoken about her political stance throughout her career. She previously told The Guardian, “I try to stay far out of politics if possible, at least in public, because nobody wins.

“It’s crazy. Everybody tries to sum everything up and put a bow on it like it’s black and white. And it’s not like that,” Underwood added. According to reports, she was a Republican party member in 2012.

YouTube brothers Logan and Jake Paul have appeared at the event. Logan Paul, who co-owns Prime energy drinks, previously shared a podcast interview he did with Trump encouraging young people to vote for him. He came under plenty off fire, but that did not put the brothers off the festivities, according to TMZ.

TMZ has also reported that Theo Von, the host of the This Past Weekend podcast is in attendance. Von has been a frequent supporter of Trump and his career.

The Paul brothers will attend

Caitlyn Jenner’s representative confirmed that she would be in attendance, telling Newsweek: “Yes she will be there, just as she was in 2016.” Rapper Nelly will also be performing, and spoke out at fans after facing some criticism, has defended his decision. He said it is “an honour for me to perform for the president of the United States, regardless of who is in office”.

Rapper Snoop Dogg also attended, despite facing a backlash from some fans after performing at the Crypto Ball in Washington DC over the weekend.

Heading back into country music, Billy Ray Cyrus, father of Miley Cyrus, attended and will be expected to perform at some point over the week in celebration of Trump. Cyrus, along with Kid Rock, are supporters of the president.

As well as the Village People, who have already performed their iconic hit, YMCA, Dana White, the CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, are at the White House.

The occasion isn’t short of billionaires either – with Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, Tim Cook, the chief executive of Apple, and Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and chief executive of Facebook and its parent company Meta.

In terms of politicians, three other living former presidents, Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama are there to witness the events, along with Hilary Clinton and Laura Bush. Michelle Obama will not be in attendance.

Reform UK leader, Nigel Farage, confirmed his attendance and says he hopes to “mend any broken fences” with Elon while there. Former prime minister Liz Truss is also there, alongside Suella Braverman.

Kier Starmer did not attend the event.
