Barron Trump became a huge figure in his father’s second presidential campaign – and it’s all down to his height.
The son of Donald and Melania Trump shot into the spotlight again in last year, just before his father was officially declared US President once again. Spectators following the Republican campaign were left distracted by the 18-year-old’s height as he stood much taller than Donald, towering over him while on stage at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
With a former supermodel as a mother and a father who is 6ft2, it made sense that Barron would grow up to be tall. But he has shot up in recent years and garnered huge attention online, with some reporting that the university student is 6ft9 and others stating that he is 6ft7. But how tall actually is Barron?

How tall is Barron Trump?
There has been much confusion about Barron’s exact height, as Trump has claimed different figures. But it is believed he stands at 6ft 7in – much taller than his father.
The teen, who speaks both English and Slovenian, is currently in his freshman year at New York University. He grew up in the family’s lavish penthouse in Manhattan and, while Trump’s older children – Trump Jr, Ivanka, Eric and Tiffany – played more public roles in his presidency, Barron largely stayed out of the limelight – up until now.
Barron was frequently reported to be a driving force behind his dad’s appearances on podcasts and YouTube channels aimed at young men during the politician’s campaign. He has been described by his mum as her “little Donald” and became the first young son to move into the White House since JFK Jr. lived there in the early 1960s.
After appearing on stage alongside Trump and Melania in November, many people took to social media to comment on Barron’s staggering height. One person wrote: “Barron Trump may very well be just three normal height humans stacked on top of one another.” Another said: “My goodness. Barron Trump is twice his height as eight years ago.”

Trump revealed last year that his son’s height can be attributed to his late grandmother’s cooking. He praised Melania’s mother, Amalija, for her incredible food. “Boy, did she take care of Barron,” Trump said from his campaign headquarters. “That’s how he got so tall – he only ate her food.”
Trump went on to say: “I said, ‘You’re gonna be a basketball player’. He said, ‘Well I like soccer Dad, actually’. I thought… ‘At your height, I like basketball better’ – but you can’t talk them into everything.”
Barron made headlines in recent months when his father mistook his age during a television interview, telling the reporter he was 17— even though he was 18 at the time. Trump, whose children’s ages range between 47 and 18, said in the interview with Telemundo 51 in Miami: “He’s pretty young, I will say. He’s 17.”
According to reports, Barron was born on March 20, 2006, and spent most of his childhood at his family’s New York City penthouse while attending top private schools on Manhattan’s prestigious Upper West Side.
