Keir Starmer flooring Kemi Badenoch with brutal six-word swipe

Keir Starmer has questioned whether Kemi Badenoch is doing her job – accusing her of not being interested in national security.

He batted away an attack from the Tory leader over the Chagos Islands, saying she has never asked for a briefing on the implications. He went on to accuse her of “playing student politics.”

The PM said: “If the leader of the opposition is properly worried for the national security implications where she’s asking these questions, which she is perfectly entitled to do that, she knows exactly what I’m talking about in terms of national security and legal certainty.

“If, on the other hand, she’s not properly briefed on the national security implications, she’s not doing her job. She’s not concerned about national security and she’s not fit to be Prime Minister.”
