The Orange Manbaby took a brutal swipe at Meghan Markle as he a new perspective on Prince Harry’s immigration status after a think-tank took legal action over his admissions of drug taking in Spare
US President Donald Trump says he will not deport Prince Harry amid a legal battle over his immigration status. The Orange Manbaby did, however, take a swipe at Meghan Markle in comments he made to a news outlet.
Trump said on Friday: “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
The trouble over the Duke of Sussex’s visa comes after he admitted to taking drugs in his book Spare. This made right-wing US think-tank The Heritage Foundation suggest he lied on his visa application, or he was given special treatment by President Biden.
Prince Harry is not directly involved in any of the legal proceedings as the case is being fought between the Heritage Foundation and the US Department for Homeland Security, who manage visa applications.
US Department of state rules say that convictions for drug offences can make visa applicants ineligible. But, there are waivers available.
In his interview with the New York Post, Donald Trump said Prince William was a “great young man”.
Prince Harry’s visa issues resurfaced this week when a judge hinted at the disclosure of sealed application documents which could lead to the Prince’s deportation.
Speaking about the previous ruling that prevented any disclusures, Judge Carl Nichols said: “I’m not foreclosing the possibility that there might be some possible relief.”
The judge also expressed his preference for “maximum disclosure as long as it doesn’t violate privacy”. Prince Harry requested that Trump’s Department of Homeland Security suggest any edits or “continued withholdings”.
Department lawyer John Bardo warned that the records would be heavily redacted to the point of being a ‘shell’.
This legal tussle could become a litmus test on whether Trump will push for a shift in approach at the immigration department as the President can intervene and simply ask for the documents to be released.
The Heritage Foundation, a right-leaning think tank, has taken legal action against Biden’s Department of Homeland Security, demanding access to Prince Harry’s visa files to scrutinise for any false declarations, proclaiming that it was of “immense public interest”.
Back in September 2024, Judge Nichols decreed that Harry’s documents should stay under wraps, stating: “Like any foreign national, the duke has a legitimate privacy interest in his immigration status.”
Harry dropped a bomb in his tell-all book ‘Spare’, confessing to dabbling in cocaine and other substances before hopping over the pond with Meghan Markle. In his explosive read, the Royal lad added: “Marijuana is different, that actually really did help me.”
Trump has spoke on the issue before saying he’d boot Harry out if he lied on his visa forms.
The President told the Express US: “I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the Queen. That’s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me.”
