Donald Trump, who is breaking convention by attending the 2025 Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, admitted that the game between the Philidelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs ‘could go either way’
Surprising absolutely nobody, the rarely tight-lipped President Donald Trump has once again broken convention and predicted the outcome 2025 Super Bowl, claiming that the Kansas City Chiefs will scoop up their third championship in a row.
Trump, who is also departing from tradition in being the first sitting President to attend a Super Bowl, has also claimed that Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs’ bonafide superstar Patrick Mahomes, is diehard MAGA lovers too.
“I’ve watched this great quarterback – who has, by the way, a phenomenal wife, okay? She’s a Trump fan, a mega-fan. So, I happen to love her,” Trump told Fox News. “She’s a great person, and he’s great.”
The Chiefs, who battled their way to victory against the Philidelphia Eagles 38-35 in the 2022 Super Bowl, are slight favourites to take home the Vince Lombardi trophy, and
Trump is in agreement:
“I have to go with Kansas City,” he declared, though he admitted Philadelphia is “fantastic” and the game could go either way.
Brittany Mahomes, who has made headlines for her outspoken personality, has recieved backlash from some for her apparent support of Trump. Fans criticised her for liking an Instagram post featuring Trump , as well as another comment supporting the Trump-Vance presidential ticket.
Though she never directly address the rumours, Brittany clapped back at her critics with a somewhat cryptic post: “To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep-rooted issues.”
Meanwhile, her hubby Patrick has kept his cards close to his chest, stating that he wasn’t endorsing any candidate, but admitting that it’s “cool” to play in front of a sitting president.
Trump will make history as the first sitting president to attend the legendary event, although he claimed that he didn’t even know this: “I’m very surprised to hear that. I would have assumed many presidents came,” he said.
