Two thirds of Brits hope to spend more times outdoors in 2025 than they did in the past year.
A recent study has revealed that Brits only manage to squeeze in just over two hours of nature time a month, with a quarter admitting they’ve not been able to get out as much as they’d like over the past year.
The survey, carried out by Clipper Tea, quizzed 2,000 Brits and discovered a worrying disconnect between us and the great outdoors, particularly during the hustle and bustle of the working week.
The research showed that a whopping 36% of those surveyed only catch glimpses of nature during their commute or lunch break, with 23% confessing even this is limited.
As a result, 21% feel completely cut off from the natural world and would like spend more time amongst nature in 2025. However, lack of time and limited access to natural spaces posed significant challenges.

To help, Clipper Tea has teamed up with DJ SUAT, also known as Zach Sabri, to produce Sounds of Nature. This new track combines sounds from the natural world with SUAT’s electronic beats, aiming to help Brits reconnect with nature.
With nearly eight out of ten Brits naming the sounds of nature as one of their favourite parts of being outdoors the collaboration offers a way for Brits to still get a dose of the sounds even if they can’t experience them in real life.
But that’s not all, each play of the track on YouTube is a donation to the Sounds Right Conservation Fund, which collects funds for initiatives spearheaded by EarthPercent, an organisation dedicated to conservation projects.
“Nature is the perfect stage for what I do-it’s positive, inspiring, and the feel-good vibes are endless,” DJ SUAT expressed. “I feel very fortunate to have crafted the Sounds of Nature track with Clipper Tea.”
The study highlights the significant mental and emotional benefits of spending time outdoors. Over two thirds of those surveyed said being in nature helps diminish their stress levels, while 61% say it elevates their mood.
Hannah Southwick, a representative for Clipper Tea, stressed: “At Clipper Tea, we strive to bring people closer to nature with every cup of tea, and we’re now taking it a step further by reconnecting people with the sounds of nature.”
