A Jet2 plane was forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger died while onboard.
The plane was flying from Tenerife back to the UK, but had to divert to the Spanish mainland on Friday evening after a passenger reportedly suffered a fatal emergency. Flight LS676 took off from the Spanish Island at 7:05pm on Friday and was bound for Nottingham.
Local paper Diario de Avisos said: “A flight covering the Tenerife South-Nottingham route has been diverted on Friday afternoon to Santiago-Rosalía de Castro Airport due to the indisposition of a passenger, who has finally died. The flight crew reported that they had a passenger with significant medical problems on board and need to be urgently diverted to the Compostela airport (on the Spanish mainland).”
