A former WWE diva wowed fans with her new look years after she quit the ring.

Jillian Hall quit the life of WWE 14 years ago. She was known for her blonde locks, but Jillian has shared a number of recent pics with her modern brunette look. One post showed her having a “selfie shoot”, and Jillian added the caption “I put on makeup and did my hair.. so selfie shoot!”

Other posts from Jillian show her having a laugh with her young daughter, or posing with pictures of her during her wrestling days.

Fans of Jillian are quick to praise her. One follower, among her 74,000 on Instagram, said “Looking great”, while another added she was a “Future WWE hall of famer”.

Despite her contract ending in 2010, Jillian still appears in at the odd event. In 2021, she was at a Royal Rumble match alongside the likes of Bianca Belari, Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox and Mandy Rose.

She also appeared at an FTC Women’s Title Elimination Four Way in 2019 and a WOW Women Of Warriors V event the year before.

Online wrestling database Cagematch says Jillian has appeared at 301 matches in her impressive career.

Jillian, who was also once known by the ring name Macaela Mercedes, began wrestling after training as a cheerleader and in gymnastics at high school. She earned a contract with WWE’s development programme in 2005.

Slam Sports said Jillian was placed in a “ridiculous storyline that involved her breast implants leaking into her brain and causing her to go psycho”.

It wasn’t long before she made her SmackDown! debut, however.

She eventually became known for her questionable singing in a new gimmick from 2007 and WWE joked that “nobody could belt a tune quite like Jillian…or at least she thought so”.

Her dodgy tuning was actually well received by some. WWE said: “Jillian followed her true dream when she made her singing debut at No Way Out in 2007.

“Although the screeching Diva was greeted by a chorus of boos from the WWE Universe, she did not let this lousy reception deter her dreams. Instead, she kept at it until her first album, “A Jingle with Jillian,” was released exclusively on iTunes right in time for the 2007 holiday season.

Featuring such classics as “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” the album was a surprising success for the Diva… and everyone else at WWE.”

Of her later career, the franchise said: “The release of her album would be the highlight of Jillian’s career up until October 2010 when she defeated Mickie James for the Divas Champion.

The tone-deaf Superstar would drop the title to Melina immediately afterwards, but her brief moment as champion was certainly the peak of Jillian’s time in the Divas division.”
