Luke Humphries beat Luke Littler to win Night 4 of the Premier League Darts as the two darting superpowers met in the final in Exeter to win his second night of the competition
Luke Humphries beat Luke Littler 6-4 in the final to win Night 4 of the Premier League in Exeter.
The two darting superpowers once again met in the final of the nightly Premier League tournament, just as they had done in Glasgow in Night 2, where Littler won a 6-5 thriller.
‘The Nuke’ got the first leg on the board as he nonchalantly checked out 144 to hold throw before Humphries hit back as Littler missed a dart at tops to break two legs ahead.
Littler made it three consecutive holds of throw in the match to take the lead back and extended his advantage to two, breaking Humphries, who missed two darts at double. However, he let a frustrated Humphries off the hook to immediately break back.
From surviving falling 4-1 down, Humphries pulled it back to 3-3 but he was soon behind again as Littler held throw. The tense battle was brought back to level pegging again before Humphries took the lead for the first time in the contest and returned to throw for the match.
Opening up with five perfect darts, Humphries missed a match dart on D12 before he was able to return to win the clash.
