Jurgen Klopp’s remaining prediction earlier than he left Liverpool coming true beneath Arne Slot

Jurgen Klopp predicted that Liverpool would keep thriving after he left as manager last summer, and the team is now close to winning the Premier League under new boss Arne Slot.

Klopp turned Liverpool into a winning machine during his nine years at Anfield, with titles including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and two League Cups. However, he announced last January that he had “run out of energy” and would step down at the end of the season.

His final months in charge are featured in the new Amazon Prime Video documentary Doubters to Believers: Liverpool FC – Klopp’s Era. In one scene, Klopp confidently says that the club will be “fine” without him.

He said: “I’m pretty sure I won’t be managing anymore. I left my office for the last time, but the club will be fine. The team is full of really good people, and they’ll do well, or even better. Someone new will come in, full of energy, ideas, and excitement, and lead the club into the future. It’s great.”

Arne Slot has been smashing it at Liverpool, filling the big boots left by Jurgen Klopp and gunning for a historic treble this season. The Reds are flying high, 13 points clear in the league, set for a Carabao Cup final clash with Newcastle in March, and topping the Champions League group stage.

Meanwhile, Klopp’s taken up the reins as Red Bull’s head of global soccer but still keeps tabs on Slot and the Reds.

Chatting to ESPN Netherlands last year, Klopp dished out: “We spoke one or two times. I think we texted a few more times. But there is nothing I can tell him what he couldn’t know himself. Right now from my side, just to give positive feedback in the beginning because we are all human beings and he worked his socks off.

“I know that because the tour is super intense in a year when you have Euros and Copa, you don’t have the team together, but they come, you have one week until the first matchday and stuff like that.

“So I think he had similar situation, but exactly the same situation? Definitely not. When I saw the games, that’s why I watched it, not to think, oh, how does it look? The work he did was obvious, the ideas obvious. And that’s the best you can say about the coach.”
