Luke Littler has won night five of Premier League darts, beating Nathan Aspinall.

Littler would overcome Chris Dobey, in a close encounter, before beating Michael van Gerwen in a repeat of their Paddy Power PDC World Darts Championship final.

The pair would struggle on doubles in the opening leg, with Apsinall hitting D2, but Littler was soon back to big checkouts as he hit out 56 and coming close to a ton plus in the following leg.

The Nuke would nail 99 to race into a 3-1 lead, with Aspinall already being left in the dust. However, The Asp would dig deep, taking the next set and then breaking Littler’s throw to turn the tungsten tide.

He was in the ascendancy, and was one D16 away from taking the lead – but Littler hit the same double to break Aspinall’s throw.

It was back to D10 for Littler and he was one leg away from victory.

Aspinall had the throw, and was first to a finish – but as he prepared to throw for 104, Littler nailed a 180. He would come just short of tops before Littler nailed D12 to win.

However, the winner of the evening might not be remebered in the history books as nine-darters has already been hit before the final.
