A B&M shopper has sent social media into meltdown after sharing a fabric conditioner trick that sparked a backlash.

The TikTok user, Alisia was branded a “scruff” and “disgusting” after opening £3 bottles of fabric softener to fill the one she was purchasing to the top in order to get her money’s worth.

“It says large pack, half full,” she said, holding up the bottle in question in a video on her TikTok page, which has been viewed and shared thousands of times.

“You’ve never f**king seen it mate.

“I am not about to pay three quid and have a half full tub.”

After using another bottle to add a substantial amount to hers, Alisia said: “Now I’ll pay three quid for that!”

“Are you f**king mad?” she concluded.

“I cannot be the only one,” Alisia captioned her video.

However, the majority of people in the comments were quick to insist they’d never do such a thing, the Sun reports.

One asked: “Who steals from B&M? Haha ha scruff!”

Alisia replied: “Work smarter, not harder.”

“That’s stealing,” another exclaimed.

“So theft then, basically,” a third said.

While another said: “Probably half full because someone’s already done what you just did.”

“Disgusting behaviour,” another fumed.

Replying to people’s comments that she could be caught on CCTV, Alisia remarked: “No risk, no fun!”

However there were some people who came to Alisia’s defence – some even admitted they do it too.

One said: “They’re robbing us, we’re not robbing them!”

Another added: “I do it! Got to get your money’s worth,” another admitted.

While one said: “I fill washing pod boxes up to top before I buy them too.”

“Why have I never thought about doing this?” another asked.
