A clever shopper has gone viral with a “genius” hack that’s a real bouquet for your buck, especially if you’re mad about blooms. Mel Lloyd (@my_neutral_place) dished out the thrifty advice on her TikTok where she shares nifty DIY tricks and gorge home aesthetics.
In her latest vid, she reveals on how a £5.99 Home Bargains find was a winner for her wallet.
The green-fingered guru showed how pottering with potted plants in a basket can create a stunning indoor garden that lasts way longer than regular cut posies.
Bigging up her budget-friendly buy, Mel gushed: “This lined country style basket is just perfect for plants. I think it makes a lovely Spring/Easter centrepiece.
“It would look great outside too… in fact I might need to go back to Home Bargains to buy another!”
And she didn’t stop there: “Very tempting at £5.99! If you’ve already got a suitable size basket you could easily line it with plastic and use that, saving even more money!”
