A woman dubbed ‘Bikini Batman’ has revealed she uses her jailed ‘supervillain stepmother’ – who shot her father – as gym motivation in a bid to ‘avenge’ her dad’s death
The daughter of a man who was slain by his ‘bikini model’ wife has claimed she feels like Batman when thinking about her “supervillain step-mother.”
Eva Benefield believes she must “avenge” her father by becoming hotter than the woman who shot him. She said thoughts of her stepmother fill her with gym motivation while the killer is “getting uglier in prison.”
Eva is the step-daughter of Ashley Benefield who was found guilty of the manslaughter Doug Benfield in Manatee County, Florida, on September 27, 2020.
Dubbed “Bikini Batman” by her fans on social media, Eva revealed in a TikTok video how she stays motivated to stay fit.
She said:“Sometimes the only way I can get myself to go to the gym is – I just think about Batman and how he has dead parents. So I have to ‘avenge’ my parents so I have to go to the gym.”
On her stepmother Eva has said: “The bikini model is…in prison and she can’t’ get any hotter – she’s getting uglier in prison – I have to get hotter and go to the gym.”
At the time of the marriage Doug was 54-years-old and his estranged wife, Ashley was 30 years younger at only 24. The couple had a very unconventional marriage with Doug only knowing the Ashley a mere three days before the pair got hitched.
The murder trial was nicknamed the “Black Swan Trial” due to Ashley’s former profession as a ballerina and bikini swimwear model.
During the trial, she claimed her husband was abusive and controlling and argued that she acted in self-defence.
Throughout the trial, prosecutor Suzanne O’Donnell accused Ashley Benefield of “performing” grief in the courtroom.
O’Donnell argued that physical evidence from the incident – including the fatal bullet wound from side to side, not the front of Doug body – contradicted her testimony.
Ashley Benefield was originally charged with second degree murder however was acquitted of the charge. Despite the acquittal, she was found guilty of the manslaughter of her husband and sentenced to 20 years in prison in December 2024.
Since her father’s death Eva has opened a business venture working with ecommerce brand United Monograms who sells graphic clothing while growing her TikTok account.
