Georgia Horsley, the wife of McFly star Danny Jones, is reportedly staying with a friend in London following Danny’s shock kiss with ex-Love Island contestant Maura Higgins
The wife of McFly star Danny Jones is reported to have moved out of their home following his shock kiss with Maura Higgins.
Former Miss England model Georgia Horsley, with whom Danny shares a seven-year-old son named Cooper, is reported to be spending time with a friend in London following the incident. “They’re not together and she is working out what she wants to do,” a source told The Sun. The report also said Georgia told Danny: “I need to get away.”
Love island star Maura, 34 and Danny, 39, were both in attendance at the O2 Arena for the 2025 BRIT Awards on March 1. Footage emerged showing him looking very close to the reality star, with the pair seemingly kissing at an afterparty at London’s posh Nobu Hotel.
Footage of the kiss, reportedly taken just before 3am, seemed to show Maura and Danny standing in a foyer at Universal’s party before their faces get very close. A source claimed: “Danny and Maura seemed to be having a great time.
“They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss. Danny and Maura seem to have a close friendship after meeting in the jungle. They were talking and laughing for ages.”
Danny apologised for his actions and issued a public statement.
In a statement shared via Instagram, the McFly star said: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.
Following his apology, reports emerged to suggest he had told friends he had been left mortified about the pain the video had caused. But the friend also warned that the McFly frontman isn’t out of the woods yet. This seemed to be the case when Danny and Georgia stepped out for the first time this week.
Body language expert Judi James told The Mirror Danny was almost unrecognisable as he wasn’t smiling and Georgia’s shoulders ‘look hunched, which can signal a desire to self-protect’.
The source said: “Danny has been mortified about whats happened and the awful situation he has put everyone in. He cares so deeply about his family and hopes his words will draw a line under what has been a deeply upsetting time, for everyone. Georgia and his son are absolutely everything to him. Throughout all this, he has been so thankful for the support of his fans. He just wants to move on, and heal in private. Fair play to Danny to owning this and addressing things head-on.”
