Britain is set to become one of the world’s biggest deadly AI drone makers as part of a mega robot deal just announced.

US firm Anduril Industries is set to open a mega factory for weaponised future robots in the UK, which is set to become its European base. The company will build death machines and the move is part of a new wave of companies building mass death military systems using artificial intelligence.

Two weeks ago the government awarded Anduril’s UK arm a £30m contract on Ukraine’s behalf to supply the country with Anduril’s kamikaze Altius 600m and Altius 700m drones that fly into targets and explode.

A number of sites are being looked at to be the base, including one in the northwest of England and another in the Oxford Cambridge area, though no final decision has been made yet.

An Anduril spokesman said: “Due to ongoing commercial sensitivity, it would not be appropriate to comment at this time.

“However we are very excited to be continuing our growth and commitment to providing sovereign capabilities here in the UK.”

Last week Putin also unleashed missile and drone strikes on the city of Odesa, causing fires in a number of civilian and industrial facilities.

A terrifying video captured the moment a Russian drone struck a car, with the driver miraculously surviving the explosion.

The onslaught comes just days after Trump reportedly blocked Ukraine from receiving U.S. intelligence, leaving the country more vulnerable to Russian missile strikes without warning.

It comes after Donald Trump and Mad Vlad agreed during a call to seek a limited ceasefire against energy and infrastructure targets in the Ukraine war, according to the White House.

The White House described it as the first step in a “movement to peace” that it hopes will eventually include a maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea and a full and lasting end to the fighting. It said negotiations would “begin immediately” on those steps.

But it was not immediately clear whether Ukraine is on board with the phased ceasefire plan.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said: “Both leaders agreed this conflict needs to end with a lasting peace.

“They also stressed the need for improved bilateral relations between the United States and Russia. The blood and treasure that both Ukraine and Russia have been spending in this war would be better spent on the needs of their people.

“This conflict should never have started and should have been ended long ago with sincere and good faith peace efforts.” Read the full story here.
