Millie told her followers she received almost £4,000 in Universal Credit, wages and child benefits last week as she slammed online haters leaving ‘vile’ comments
A pregnant mum-of-three struggling to make ends meet while claiming £3,000 per month in Universal Credit has hit back at “vile” online trolls calling her a “crackhead”. Millie, 21, shares her financial woes with her over 25,000 followers on TikTok.
After going viral earlier in March for a TikTok explaining her finances, the content creator started to attract millions of views to her videos and some unsavory comments. She has now hit back at the haters.
In a video posted on Sunday explaining how she “doesn’t have a penny left to her name” – despite receiving almost £4,000 in Universal Credit, wages and child benefits last week – she said: “Now I don’t have very much to show for it other than we’ve still got a roof over our head, food and the essentials.
“About more than half of you have seen that figure and thought I’m an absolute crackhead and get drunk every night but that isn’t the case.
“I just have a £2,000 nursery bill and kids are expensive in general. It’s been just over a week since I’ve had all that money and now I don’t have a penny left to my name.”
Millie added that things were so desperate that she went to a car boot sale to sell some of her belonging to raise some much needed funds. She said: “I’m hoping that whatever we manage to tomorrow will be able to last us until the following Sunday when hopefully we’ll have enough to do another car boot.
“It is just an ongoing cycle – no matter how much I budget I end up in the same position every single month.”
Millie told her followers in a later video that she managed to make £40 at the car boot sale which has to last her three weeks.
She said: “I’ve only got £40 to last three weeks. I am also pregnant as well which is not ideal but this is just like a regular occurrence now.”
Millie also blamed “online stereotypes” for the hate she has received in her comments, she said: “If you have followed me for a while, you will see the vile comments I have got.
“They do just go straight over my head but I know for other people that would make them very upset.”
