F1 icon Lewis Hamilton has split opinion after he fed his dog celery instead of a bone, with a video showing bulldog Roscoe spitting the veg back out
Lewis Hamilton has divided opinions about feeding his vegan dog celery instead of bone.
The seven-time F1 world champ gives bulldog Roscoe a plant-based life diet just like his.
The 40-year-old’s pooch munched into the salad vegetable but then spat it out on the couch.
Some fans said he should be given a meaty treat to eat and said he didn’t appear to like it.
But some defended Hamilton, who was disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday (23 Mar) after finishing fifth.
The Ferrari driver said: “Love’s a leafy green.” Yet one fan fumed: “He ain’t loving it. Give a dog a bone sir.”
A second added: “Roscoe, you’re not supposed to spit them out.”
A third said: “It doesn’t look as if you would like it, sweetie.”
Another added: “Roscoe babes, you’re not supposed to spit the food out.”
But other fans like that the dog has a plant-based lifestyle, as reported on What’s The Jam.
One said: “Leave him alone, he’s healthy.” Yet another wrote: “Go vegan.”
While a third added: “Very light flavour! a great diet!!
Roscoe has 1.1m followers on Instagram. His bio reads: “I’m a vegan bulldog that loves to travel, play ball and get attention from all the girls, especially when they rub my bum. I like frisbee and tennis.”
The race ace was slammed last July for putting Roscoe in a £168, ride on Mercedes G-Wagon toy. And in February 2023, he was blasted for making the pooch wear a raincoat with a visor.
