  • Their romance is reportedly now over just two months on from that ‘date’
  • Vergara is reportedly feeling ‘abandoned’, with Hamilton hardly speaking to her

Lewis Hamilton‘s romance with Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has fizzled out already, according to reports.

Hamilton, 40, and Vergara, 52, were spotted out for lunch together in New York in January, sparking rumours that they were dating.

However, as reported by American platform RadarOnline, the pair have now gone their separate ways.

The report states that Vergara was keen to move forward with Hamilton, with an insider claiming she viewed him as ‘the perfect boyfriend and a great catch’.

But the Formula One legend’s interest has waned, leaving Vergara feeling ‘abandoned’.

Hamilton and Vergara are still in ‘occasional’ contact, but it is understood that the ‘communication is rather one-sided’.

Hamilton is only in ‘occasional’ contact with Vergara, and appears to be focusing on finding his best form at Ferrari

The insider added: ‘She’s the one who stays in touch, hoping for more—and gets little in return.’

Hamilton previously had an on-off relationship with Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger before they called it quits in 2016.

He has also been linked to a number of other high-profile figures over the years, including supermodel Gigi Hadid, and popstars Rihanna and Shakira.

But he now appears to have returned to single life and focused his attention on having a strong season with Ferrari.

The seven-time world champion endured a difficult opening race in Australia where he could only finish 10th, but he bounced back to win last weekend’s sprint race in China.

He then came sixth in Sunday’s Grand Prix, but was subsequently disqualified due to the plank underneath his car having excessive wear by half a millimetre.

Hamilton is currently ninth in the drivers’ standings, already 35 points adrift of early pace-setter, Lando Norris.
