After announcing she would compete for a final year at LSU, Dunne also returned to SI after appearing in the previous SI Swimsuit editions.

This year, she posed in a skimpy cheetah-print bikini and gave her fans a sneak preview of what to expect from the launch.

Dunne took to Instagram to share the snap and videos with her 5.3million followers on the social media platform. In a joint post with SI, Dunne can be seen posing on a wall in front of some palm trees.

She also took to her story to give a sneak peek at her outfit, captioning the post: “cheers to year 3”.

In a later post, Dunne then suited up in a zebra-print swimsuit and a backward baseball cap, in a nod to her Pittsburgh Pirates star boyfriend Paul Skenes.

Dunne is in her fifth year at LSU, and in that time has become the most-followed and highest-paid female college athlete.

The 22-year-old has over 13 million combined TikTok and Instagram followers and an NIL (name, image and likeness) valuation of $4.1m.

Following the change in gymnastics rules in 2021 to allow college athletes to profit off their image and name, Dunne started making millions.

She previously told the New York Post: “I just want to be a role model to young girls. I want to set a good example, and I want to send out a message that we’re more than just our sport.

“That’s very important to me. I don’t try to put any pressure on myself, and I don’t try to compare myself to other people.

“I’m kind of just going with the flow, and it’s very exciting.

“Right now it’s all about trying to find a balance between school, social media and gymnastics. All them are top priorities in my life.

“I think it’s really a special time right now with the NIL change, especially for women’s sports because there’s not a lot of professional leagues after college for women.”
