And week of sunshine follows as forecasters said it could get even hotter.

Channel 4 weatherman Liam Dutton said: “After cool conditions, it will turn warmer, with dry and fine weather on the way into next week as high pressure takes hold. Temperatures next week are likely to reach over 20C.”

Skygazers gathered across the UK to catch a glimpse of the partial solar eclipse.

The phenomenon occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth. The three are not completely aligned, so only part of the Sun is obscured.

But it won’t be fun and games for all mums, as ‘Britain’s most inked mum’ recently revealed that she’s hiding away this Mother’s Day as she’s worried she’ll give fellow parents a huge fright.

Sporting more than 800 tats, Melissa Sloan is covered from head to toe in eye-catching designs that seem to draw stares whenever she steps out.

“People stare at me whenever I leave the house, and they always move out of the way if they pass me in the streets. It’s crazy.

“I’m used to it by now, but going out for meals makes it even worse. I’m worried that one day people will actually leave the restaurant because of the way I look.”

Her brood used to quiz her about the constant eyeballing as they grew up accustomed to Melissa’s heavily inked face.
