Susie Wiles — whom Donald Trump has nicknamed his “Ice Maiden” — gave one of her first TV interviews as White House chief of staff to a familiar, friendly face.
Namely, the daughter-in-law of the president (her boss): Lara Trump.
During the sit-down that will air in full on Lara Trump’s Fox News show on Saturday, Wiles was asked to name the “toughest thing” she’s ever had to tell the president.

“2020 election. Coming to him after the 2020 election in ’21 and telling him that what he thought was the circumstance, wasn’t — which is how I got into all this,” Wiles replied. “He said, ‘Well, can you fix it?’ But he’s such a resilient person and he’s seen so much. It’s very hard to surprise him.”
Trump lost the 2020 election to now-former President Joe Biden but steadfastly refused to admit it. It’s unclear if Wiles’ comment meant that she had to reality check Trump over his loss, or something else.
The Daily Mail shared the teaser clip online.
Other promo videos showed Wiles, who co-managed Trump’s 2024 campaign and then became the first woman to hold the influential chief of staff role, describing her job as “keeping the trains on the tracks and running on time,” allowing the president and Vice President JD Vance to focus on doing “what they need to do to fix the country.”

When Wiles was asked about her goals for the next four years, she said she’s focused on major national and global priorities such as ending the war in Ukraine.
“These are heady, big things that are important not for now, but for the future. Rebuilding the American economy. Getting all these criminals out of our country. Peace in the world,” she said.

Wiles also suggested Trump is “a better leader” in his second term.
