The prophetess and healer died in the USSR and became one of the country’s most treasured saints with Russians are convinced several of her prophecies will come true
Treasured saint Matrona of Moscow’s predictions have people coming to her even after her death, with one particular warning hitting home for many Russians in 2025.
The healer claimed: “without war, there is war”. But the Matrona did not think the death of humanity would be as a result of physical war, but something less material, LifeRU reports.
Amid the rapid rise of artificial intelligence and the continuing evolution of communications, perhaps the Matrona was pointing towards an unconventional but equally dangerous war. The Russian Orthodox saint, canonised in 1999, also comforted Russians saying: “The people will be reborn on the wave of Orthodoxy. We don’t have long to wait, be patient.”
Implying eventual victory for the Russians, the pro-Kremlin outlet claimed Eastern allies like China and India will come to the country’s aid, leading to a period of prosperity.
Matrona of Moscow comforted believers before her death, saying: “There will be many troubles, but do not complain.”
The outlet also claimed the saint predicted a special Russian military operation and sanctions, and said that many countries would turn from Russia.
Matrona of Moscow was born in 1883 in the village of Sebino in the Tula province of Russia.
She was born completely blind, and her parents wanted to give her to an orphanage before her mother had a dream about an eyeless white dove landing on her hand, and the child was saved.
The Matrona’s mother said even as a baby she fasted and abstained from breastmilk on Wednesdays and Fridays.
At eight she gained the gift of foresight, and at 13 started to heal people before she moved to Moscow in 1912.
She also allegedly predicted her own death three days before it happened.
Many Russians see her prophecies as offering guidance for Russia’s future, especially regarding its religious direction and its national identity, but many disagree about the interpretations of her prophecies.
Her predictions were generally spiritual rather than political, but many choose to interpret them to venerate Russian nationalism.
However, the Daily Star recently reported that a Russian Nostradamus issued an ominous warning about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Kazhetta Akhmetzhanova competed on Battle of Psychics and has correctly predicted a series of tsunamis around the world in the past.
She claimed the invasion would be “resolved by 2025” and that it could all be over as early as Spring. However, she did claim “our enemies will periodically try to arrange certain kinds of provocations – I see that provocative actions are possible on their part until 2027”.
