Here’s how much a pint or a glass of wine will cost punters today as thousands head to Aintree to enjoy three days of top class racing – from Guinness to Jack Daniels and everything in between
The Grand National Festival is kicking off at Aintree racecourse from today (Thursday, April 3) and the Daily Star has got its hand on the full list of this year’s bar prices. The cost of a tipple for 2025 spans from £3.10 for a soft drink to £7.80 for a pint of lager.
Thousands of attendees are expected to make their way to the UK’s biggest racecourse over the next few days – and there is sure to be plenty of pints and drinks poured. From Ladies Day to the all-important Grand National Steeplechase on Saturday, many are anticipating how much they’ll splash.
The event planners working at the racecourse have also rolled out several incentives to boost value for money across the venue. This year sees the introduction of a 20% discount on all food and drink for the first hour after the gates swing open each day, to get the day off to a good start.
Plus, new meal deals will be up for grabs at all retail food points, bundling a main meal or sandwich, a snack, and a hot or cold beverage – a scheme aimed at enhancing convenience and ensuring racegoers can grab a bite to eat and dive back into the action.
For those looking to toast the occasion in style, there will be special drink offers. On Ladies Day, Prosecco bottles will come with a £10 discount, while on Grand National Day, the same markdown will apply to Champagne bottles.
