A woman on TikTok who loves fake tanning – maybe a little too much – has struck fear into the heart of her online haters with an ominous threat.

How much fake tan is too much fake tan? Fanny-Mae Lee, a self-proclaimed “proud Traveller gal”, has made a name for herself online for erring on the side of “bloody loads” of it, amassing a cult following of fans and haters in equal measure on TikTok.

Fanny-Mae’s dedication to tangerine-afying herself is impressive – she makes the Orange Manbaby himself Donald Trump look like an anaemic pickled egg that’s been at the back of a pub fridge for far too long. In her TikTok bio, Fanny refers to herself as 0.9% “Jamcan” (Jamaican, we assume?), something muddied further by her use of the South African flag next to it.

The self-styled influencer’s digital footprint sees her in various outfits rocking her outrageously tanned exterior with captions like “See how I dew my tan” and “Darkskins…We just do it bettar” with the song African Queen by Akelar playing underneath.

Unsurprisingly, some of Fanny-Mae’s followers have piled in with the mockery pointing out that “you are Caucasian”.

One person joked: “don’t let anyone tell you you’re not black… in fact come to South London and hang out with the sistahs there. make sure to tell them just how black you are… nothing bad will happen.”

Responding to her haters Fanny-Mae hit back in a post captioned: “Pritty sure nowun will lay a finger on mey.” Luckily for the influencer, she has a really tough dad who looks very ready to defend her.

When the clip cuts to the angry father figure, the lyrics of the background song : “I’ve got a b**** who can fight h***.”

In all fairness, Fanny-Mae’s dad looks quite menacing – an appropriate backup to the playground jibe of “my daddy’s tougher than your daddy”.

“I got a Dad who can fite,” wrote the Traveller girl, continuing to impress with her spelling.

Unfortunately the threat of having her father beat up people who dared to suggest she wasn’t black didn’t seem to work. The jokes at Fanny-Mae’s expense rolled on in the comment section: “The bio is finishing me because that a South African flag but it says Jamaican,” said one person.
