BREAKING Grand National fury after ITV silence on horrifying Broadway Boy fall

Racing fans are furious with ITV’s coverage of the Grand National after they failed to give update on a leading horse that suffered a nasty fall. Social media was alight with criticism of the channel for not informing viewers of Broadway Boy’s state.

The 66/1 horse was leading the pack before stumbling in the biggest race of the year, which was won by Nick Rockett. However, racing fans were more concerned about Broadway Boy’s health.

On X, formerly Twitter, Hannah said: “No one gives a s*** who won, we want to know how this beautiful horse is after his horrific fall ITV!!! Ffs.”

Another said: “People crying about their ‘luck’ because they didn’t win a £10 bet that they’d put on Broadway Boy is just wild. Poor horse is likely dead and people bemoaning a few quid for the likely place finish it would of had.”

A third said: “Why are they ignoring the fact Broadway Boy fell so horrifically? Everyone saw. He was out front.

“All this celebrating, ignoring an horrific fall because they want to pretend it doesn’t matter.”

A fourth said: “Only positive thing to come from that Broadway Boy fall is a whole generation of kids put off this for life. ITV swerving it.”

Just before ITV’s coverage went off air presenter Ed Chamberlain said Broadway Boy is being assessed on the course after suffering a nasty fall during the race.

Celebre D’Allen is also being assessed after getting pulled up. All 34 jockeys are okay and have returned to the weighing room.
