World’s least expensive vacation hotspot pint revealed by journey specialists – it is solely 81p

We all know travelling out-of-season can land you some bargain holiday trips but did you know cheap pints across the globe may end up costing you a fraction of the price?

The world’s cheapest holiday spot for a pint has been revealed as a vibrant location in India – and a beer will set you back only a mere, measly 81p if you were to go for it.

A travel expert has compiled a list of the cheapest pints at overseas destinations so you know where to go for the most affordable tipple when planning your much-deserved getaway across the globe.

Specifically looking at off-season prices, it found some astoundingly budget holiday options with pints from 81p to £1.44 in the five cheapest destinations. If you’re up for it, those enticing prices would take you anywhere from Argentina to Mauritius.

The study by Travelbag firstly looked at the price difference between hotels and flights in peak and off-peak seasons. It found that travellers to top long-haul destinations like Bali or Sri Lanka could save 42% or 38% respectively by going at a less popular time of year.

Delving into how various locations fared in terms of pint prices during the off-season, it found that pints go as low as £1.82 in spots like Grand Baie in Mauritius and £1.80 in Masai Mara, Kenya.

The cheapest of all though is a pint in Panaji, Goa, southwest India. Here a pint can go as low as 81p out of season. Closely followed by 84p pints in Madagascar’s Nosy Be.

In third place was Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park where a pint will set you back 88p. Coming in fourth place is a £1.40 pint in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Pints in Soufrière, St Lucia, may be as affordable as £1.44 with those in Jaipur, India, at £1.57. You can see the full list here:
