An earthquake has rocked parts of Spain, with the tremors felt by tourists and locals in a popular Costa Blanca resort.
Residents as well as Brits staying in Torrevieja for the Easter holidays described being ‘almost thrown out of bed’ when the tremors hit just after midnight.
The epicentre was just five kilometres from the popular holiday hotspot, according to the Instituto Geografico Nacional, with reports suggesting it was a 3-magnitude quake.
One local said that the tremor was ‘the strongest quake I have ever felt in my life,’ Spanish Eye reports.
