Tourists visiting London have complained they’ve chosen the ‘worst week’ to visit the popular city.
Over the last few days, London has been paralysed by Tube strikes as workers protest over their pay and hours.
Some tourists have found themselves caught up in the chaos, battling with commuters trying to get into work and paying extortionate taxi fares to get around.
One visitor, Sarkie Ampim who goes by @sarkieampim on TikTok, shared his experience online.
Speaking to the camera, he says, ‘You know it’s really my luck, I chose to come to London and visit in possibly the worst week ever.’
He revealed he was facing £50 taxi charges and described the situation as ‘insane’.
The tourist continues, ‘Train strikes, tube strikes, whatever you want to call it. Literally I can’t get anywhere by taxi for less than like £50, it’s absolutely insane.’
Another holidaymaker was also hit with a huge bill after catching a ride to the airport.
