Heartbreaking tributes have poured in following the tragic death of an ‘amazing’ and ‘beautiful’ mum who lost her life on railway tracks in Greater Manchester. Emergency crews rushed to Patricroft railway station in Eccles at approximately 7.50am on Saturday (October 11) following reports of a casualty on the line.

Police officers were spotted outside the station throughout the morning, with numerous services disrupted between Manchester and Liverpool. British Transport Police have confirmed they attended alongside paramedics, but a person was subsequently declared dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as mother Adele Victoria Silcock. No suspicious circumstances surrounded Adele’s death.

Emergency teams stayed at the station throughout the morning before services restarted at around 12.30pm. In a GoFundMe tribute penned by Adele’s family, they wrote: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Adele Victoria Silcock, who left us unexpectedly on October 11, 2025.

“Adele was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin and friend to so many and her absence leaves an unimaginable void in our lives. Her passing came suddenly, and our family is heartbroken as we try to navigate this loss.

“We are creating this GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses and provide some financial support as we make arrangements and take care of her three young children, Eviee, Jenson and Romie. Any amount, no matter how small, will help lighten the burden during this painful time.

“If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page or keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.” The family have continued to ask for privacy as they continue to grieve Adele’s passing.

Heartfelt tributes also flooded social media following her death, with Sarah Thomson posting online: “Absolutely devastated to hear you’ve gone. I’m going to miss seeing your silly posts in my news feeds. I hope you find peace and to know your babies are going to be well looked after. RIP you beautiful amazing woman.”
