Former Eastender hardman Danny Dyer has edged out young heart-throbs like Harry Styles and Paul Mescal in a poll of the sexiest stars with top lip hairdos
Danny Dyer is “sexier” with a moustache than hunky pin-ups Harry Styles and Paul Mescal, say fans.
The ex-EastEnders actor, 48, beat off competition from fellow hairy-lipped stars, such as former One Direction singer Harry and Gladiator II heart-throb Paul.
Hardman Danny grew his tache for raunchy TV comedy-drama Rivals and sports the crumb duster in a new ad for Paddy Power Games, which conducted the survey.
It reveals one in five Brits reckon men look “hotter” with whiskers, while a third believe blokes who sport them look “cooler”. Nearly a quarter of respondents – 23% – said being moustachioed made them feel more confident.
A fifth of fellas have tried to grow one and a third of women have encouraged their gent to cultivate an upper lip caterpillar.
But Danny was overshadowed by Saltburn actor Jacob Elordi, who was voted the overall sexiest moustachioed star.
Dune stud muffin Timothée Chalamet, Game of Thrones hunk Pedro Pascal and Anthony Boyle, who plays whiskered beer mogul Arthur in new Netflix series House of Guinness, round off the top four sexiest fuzz faces.
Danny plays a Las Vegas casino kingpin in the hilarious new ad, which premieres on Saturday (October 18) and also features Coleen Rooney, Gemma Collins and Peter Crouch.
East End-born Danny said: “I had a great time on set with the Paddy Power crew getting to live out my De Niro casino boss fantasies while sporting my current ‘80s tache.”
Speaking earlier this year, Dyer revealed he has banned the Bard. The telly favourite said he refuses to do William Shakespeare because “I don’t get it”.
The Football Factory actor said: “I don’t think it’s for me. Really? I understand that, as actors especially, you’ve got your Hamlet and all that, that’s what you should be doing. I don’t get it. I don’t understand it. I struggle with the rhythm of it.
“I totally respect everyone that does it, I absolutely do. I just don’t feel it. I don’t find it funny. Some people will laugh at it and I go, ‘Well, I don’t know what we’re laughing at here.’ I just can’t.”
