The impressed foodie praised the Wetherspoon menu after enjoying their breakfast
A Wetherspoon fan is raving over the pub’s breakfast deal after tucking into a ‘bargain’ meal for less than £5. The food lover enjoyed a cooked breakfast, along with tea and coffee with free refills, for under a fiver, and praised the menu in a TikTok post.
The reviewer even noted that there was one aspect of their experience that was ‘perfect.’ Taking to TikTok as @roamingwithamba, the blogger explained they were really impressed after trying the pub’s breakfast menu, which is served from 8am to 12 noon.
Praising the meal, @roamingwithamba said: “Oh my god, guys, you’re not ready for this. I just found out you can get a full English breakfast and unlimited drinks for under a fiver. Like seriously?
“Wetherspoons does breakfast for £2.99. What? How is this even real? And it’s not just some sad little plate, either; it literally comes with so much. Plus, they even got veggie options too. And if you add the unlimited hot drinks, it is £1.81. So if we do the maths, that’s only £4.80. It’s an absolute madness.
“I was so shocked at the portion. I got vegan sausages, mushrooms, hashbrowns, tomatoes, bread and beans. It was the perfect amount of food. And for drinks? I went in. I got a flat white, tea, hot chocolate, latte.
“By the end, I was completely finished. I couldn’t eat anything else for the rest of the day. Taste-wise, it was genuinely good. It was a little bit on the fried side, but it filled me right up, and for a fiver it is unreal. Don’t sleep on this deal.”
@roamingwithamba opted for a small breakfast, reports the Daily Record. Wetherspoon said the small breakfast is £2.99 or less in 656 pubs. Wetherspoon also offers tea and coffee with free refills for £1.81 or less in all pubs, excluding airports and Republic of Ireland pubs. Due to recent government legislation, hot chocolate and mocha are now excluded from the free refill offer.
A spokesman for Wetherspoon said: “As a result of government regulations which came into force on 1st October, Wetherspoon has withdrawn hot chocolate and mocha from its free refill offer on hot drinks. The offer still applies to tea and all other coffees.”
The viral video delighted viewers, gaining over 35k views and hundreds of likes. One foodie wrote: “Going today and twice a week love food.” A second fan said: “Breakfast at Wetherspoons is value for money.”
However, another viewer claimed: “Toby Carvery better. £10 with coffee and all you can eat.” Someone else wrote: “No thanks so many nice places to eat why would I go there?”
While others pointed out that the breakfast is more expensive if you don’t opt for a small portion, there was still lots of praise for the deal. Someone said: “I go often can’t make it for that, and hot drinks refillable, love a bargain.”
