In a dramatic showdown on Monday Night RAW last week, Alexa Bliss found herself in an awkward tangle when her opponent’s hair got caught in her top, forcing her to whip off a layer of clothing right in the middle of the action.
The quick-thinking move, caught by eagle-eyed fans and cameras alike, has since sparked a frenzy online, with viewers left gobsmacked by the unexpected fashion mishap and the stars’ lightning-fast recovery.
In the main event of RAW, Bliss and Charlotte Flair put their Women’s Tag Team Titles on the line against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, after Bayley demanded a shot at the gold the previous week. The rivalry traces back to an incident before WrestleMania, when Bayley was mysteriously ambushed and lost her chance at the titles, prompting her to make amends with Valkyria by pursuing another title opportunity, ITR Wrestling reported.
Tensions between the pair eventually set the stage for this high-stakes showdown. During the match, a messy situation was unveiled when Valkyria’s hair became entangled in Bliss’ top following her signature move, The Night Wing.
Valkyria’s finisher, The Night Wing, is a two-part move where she first hits a fisherman driver, hooking her opponent’s leg and driving them down hard. This is followed by a top-rope splash.
Bliss was forced to quickly shed a layer of her gear, while cameras cut away to Flair to keep the action moving. The champions ultimately sealed their victory with a double Natural Selection, pinning their challengers to retain the titles.
A double Natural Selection is a tag team finishing move where two wrestlers simultaneously perform the Natural Selection on an opponent. But the drama didn’t end there, as Asuka and Kairi Sane stormed the ring after the bell, launching an attack on everyone except Bayley, their former Damage CTRL ally.
