Arsenal will play Crystal Palace in the blockbuster draw of the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
Following Newcastle’s win against Tottenham on Wednesday evening, the draw for the final eight of the competition was made.
The holders’ victory rounded off a crazy night of action with Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace the major headline of the night’s action. Elsewhere, Arsenal beat Brighton, Chelsea survived an almighty scare to knock out Wolves and Manchester City came from behind to beat Swansea City to secure their place in the final eight.
Brentford and Fulham booked their place in the fifth round on Tuesday night, with the Bees demolishing Manchester United’s slayers Grimsby Town 5-0. While the Cottagers needed penalties to beat Wycombe Wanderers.
The lowest-ranked side left in the competition, Cardiff City, beat Welsh rivals Wrexham 2-1 at the Racecourse Ground to book their place.

Newcastle vs Fulham

The quarter-final matches will take place during the week commencing Monday, December 15, with the fixtures expected to be played on December 16 (Tuesday) and December 17 (Wednesday).
