A man dressed in black robes was caught on camera performing a ritual involving a blood-drawn pentagram, candles, tarot cards, and a cow’s severed head outside his ex-girlfriend’s home
Disturbing photographs show the moment a man in black robes carries out a satanic ritual using a pentagram drawn in blood, candles and a cow’s severed head outside his ex-girlfriend’s home. The incident took place in Krasny Sulin, Rostov Oblast, Russia, last Saturday (November 1).
Footage shows the 34-year-old man placing a cow’s head on the ground in front of the woman’s house before painting a large pentagram in what appears to be blood around it. He then tosses Tarot cards in the centre of the pentagram and lights a candle.
Tarot cards are a 78-card deck used for divination and self-reflection, and are often associated with magic.
According to reports, the cards included the Death card and the Ten of Swords, which are said to be used in rituals linked to serious illness and death.
However, in traditional tarot interpretation, the Death card typically symbolises transformation, endings, and new beginnings rather than literal death. The Ten of Swords often represents hitting rock bottom, betrayal, or the end of a difficult situation.
Local media said the woman, identified only as Kristina, lives at the property with her mother and child and had installed security cameras after previously finding mysterious symbols by her gate. Police in Rostov Oblast later detained the man after the woman filed a complaint about ongoing harassment.
Officers said the mysterious sorcerer had purchased ritual items online and bought the cow’s head at a meat market in the nearby city of Shakhty. He reportedly told investigators that he performed the act to attract his former partner’s attention.
Law enforcement authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances and motive behind the incident. Despite common beliefs, the pentagram is not inherently Satanic, as its meaning depends on its orientation and cultural context.
While a pentagram with two points up, often incorporating a goat’s head, is a symbol for modern Satanism, an upright pentagram is a very old symbol with various positive and non-Satanic meanings across many cultures and religions, such as representing the five wounds of Christ, the five elements, or mankind.
Additionally, in recognised modern Satanic organisations, such as the Church of Satan and The Satanic Temple, rituals are primarily symbolic, theatrical, and psychological. They are designed for self-empowerment, emotional release (such as for lust, compassion, or destruction), and personal transformation.
