Armed police officers raced to the scene after a woman was stabbed outside of an Asda supermarket in Derby.
Derbyshire Constabulary were called to reports that a woman had been injured outside the major supermarket in Arleston Lane, Sinfin, after 8.35pm on Wednesday (November 5).
In a statement, Derbyshire Constabulary said: “Officers are appealing for the public’s help after a woman was stabbed outside a city supermarket.
“We were called to reports that a woman had been injured outside the Asda in Arleston Lane, Sinfin, just after 8.35pm yesterday .
“Armed officers quickly attended the scene to search for the suspect – a woman believed to be in her 40s and known to the victim. She was not located by officers at the scene and there are ongoing attempts to locate the suspect.
“The victim, a woman in her 40s, suffered an injury to her arm and hand. She remains in hospital and her injuries are not life-threatening.
“Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to officers.
“Of particular interest are any drivers who may have dashcam footage of the incident or the moments before or after.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact the force using any of the below methods, including reference 25*650066.”
