One of the youngest victims of the Huntingdon train stabbings is the nephew of Hollywood star, Damson Idris. Isaiah Ishmael Idris, 17, was slashed across the face as he travelled on the Docklands Light Railway in the early hours of November 1.

He was named as one of the 11 people that Huntingdon train knife suspect Anthony Williams was accused of attempting to murder when he appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday, MailOnline reports.

Isaiah’s uncle Damson Idris declined to comment on his nephew’s tragic involvement in the horrific train knife attacks. But another uncle, Habeeb Idris, confirmed that his nephew was one of those wounded.

Speaking to the Mail, he said: “I am aware that Isaiah was involved in the incident on a train, but we are dealing with this privately as a family.”

Brit actor, Damson, who was born in Peckham, London, appeared alongside Brad Pitt in the hit film F1 released earlier this year. Isaiah is the youngest victim on the indictment faced by Williams – but he was also said to have menaced an even younger boy, who was just 14.

A British Transport Police statement about the incident stated: “Officers received a report of an incident on a DLR train at Pontoon Dock at 00:46 early on 1 November where a victim suffered facial injuries after being attacked with a knife.

“The suspect had left the location. Police subsequently identified Williams as a suspect.”

The other 10 attempted murder charges relate to the stabbing of passengers on the LNER train from Doncaster to London some 16 hours later.

Last week, Anthony Williams, 32, from Peterborough, was charged with 10 counts of attempted murder, one count of actual bodily harm and two counts of possession of bladed article following the incident.

District judge Ken Sheraton remanded Williams into custody to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on December 1.

Last week, we reported how a hero rail worker whose actions saved multiple lives during a mass stabbing on board a train has been praised. Samir Zitouni, 48, who has worked for London North Eastern Railway (LNER) for more than 20 years, remains in hospital following the attacks.

David Horne, managing director at LNER, said: “In a moment of crisis, Sam did not hesitate as he stepped forward to protect those around him. His actions were incredibly brave, and we are so proud of him, and of all our colleagues who acted with such courage that evening. Our thoughts and prayers remain with Sam and his family. We will continue to support them and wish him a full and speedy recovery.”

His family said in a statement released through LNER: “We have been deeply touched by the outpouring of love and kindness shown to Sam, and by the many well wishes for his recovery.

Another hero who courageously intervened to protect passengers’ lives by tackling the knife-wielding attacker said he “just did what anyone else would do”. Stephen Crean has also been celebrated following his courageous intervention during the vicious mass stabbing incident on a train bound for Huntingdon station – yet maintains he’s “just a normal guy”.

Train driver Andrew Johnson was also praised and remains fighting for their life.
