A bride slept with another man the night before her wedding day — then dumped her hubby on their honeymoon. Amy Holyoake, 31, bedded a musician she’d been messaging on TikTok just hours before saying “I do”.

She said she’d The mum-of-two had began exchanging messages with her new lover two months before the big day and reached out the night before she was due to walk down the aisle after “falling for him”.

Amy, of Leeds, West Yorks., said she felt “a massive amount of guilt and confusion” but pressed ahead for fear of letting people down. She told her husband she wanted to end the marriage on honeymoon in Scarborough and admitted her fling on their return.

The divorcee said: “I don’t think I do regret [what happened the night before the wedding], which sounds horrible. I feel like if that didn’t happen, it might never have ended.”

She added: “I was feeling really drained and all over the place. I didn’t feel listened to. As soon as I set a date for the wedding day, I regretted it instantly. A lot of my friends said I should’ve left a while ago. When I’m on my own I feel a lot stronger, whereas in that relationship I felt a lot weaker. I felt small when I was around him.”

Amy said she came across her new beau’s music while scrolling on the video-based social media platform and really enjoyed his tunes. She added: “It was so calming. I just messaged him when he was on live and let him know his music was wonderful.

“He messaged back and I told him I was getting married. I tried to just be friends with him but my feelings were way too strong. We had really deep, intelligent conversations that I hadn’t had for a long time.”

She said she knew she’d “fallen for him completely” when she attended one of his gigs and spilled the beans to pals, who urged to call the wedding off. But she said she didn’t want to let anyone down.

She added: “The night before the wedding I messaged the musician and he came over and we ended up sleeping together. He left at about 5am in the morning. There was a massive amount of guilt and confusion.

“I never thought that was going to be me. That whole day was really emotional. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what to do.”

Now separated, Amy is encouraging any brides in doubt to “listen to their gut”. She said: “I tried to break up with him two days into the honeymoon. He actually said he felt the same way.

“It just felt like a long friendship and we’d lost our way. But he wanted to work on it. I told him he deserved so much better.

“I would say to any other woman if you have any doubts at all, don’t go through with it. I feel over the moon. I could’ve done it in a better way. I didn’t intend for this to happen.”
