Guinness descendant Lady Mary Charteris has sparked a war on her posh street after turning her home into a real-life “Barbie House”.

The socialite has painted the home she shares with In The Pink rocker Robbie Furze and their daughter Wilde an eye-popping shade of pink.

But some of the neighbours in leafy Kensal Rise in north west London, where hit BBC show Motherland was filmed, dubbed the house an “eyesore”.

One raged: “It’s vile – there’s pink and then there’s pink, it’s like something from a Barbie film.”

Another said: “No, I don’t like it. It doesn’t fit with the area at all. Where does she think she is, it’s a conservative area, it’s not Notting Hill.”

Lady Mary once expressed her desire to paint the exterior of the five-bedroom house pink when she showed off her interiors.

She admitted in an interview that an interior designer gave her the courage to paint the inside walls and ceilings pink, blue and green.

The former wild child, who once reportedly fell out with Posh Spice over her friendship with David Beckham, also hinted that she would paint the outside of her £2million home pink.

Lady Mary, who also once rocked a pink hairdo, said: “Luckily, my husband likes pink – he is in The Big Pink, after all.”

She hasn’t broken any council rules by painting the mid-terraced house the bright hue.

But some of her neighbours are fuming that it’s not in keeping with the rest of the tree-lined street.

Another said: “Personally, I like it. It doesn’t bother me. But there are a lot of people on the road who don’t.

“They are just those sorts of people who don’t like change. Most of the houses are brick red. So it doesn’t match, and it’s got their backs up.

“But it’s nice and colourful. Just let people get on with it, I say. “

Model Lady Mary is the daughter of James Charteris, 13th Earl of Wemyss and 9th Earl of March, and the Hon Catherine Ingrid Guinness, daughter of Guinness heir Jonathan Guinness.

The story of the Guinness brewing dynasty is currently being told in explosive new Netflix TV drama House Of Guinness, from the creator of Peaky Blinders.

It stars Happy Valley’s James Norton as the family’s fictionalised enforcer Sean Rafferty.

The series tells how Arthur, the son of the company’s big boss Sir Benjamin Guinness, took control of the brewery in 1868 and became the richest man in Ireland.

Lady Mary, whose wedding was attended by Lily Allen, Poppy Delevingne, Jerry Hall and her daughter Georgia May Jagger, was recently at the London premiere of the show.
