Who is the Hulkster on the right then?

Halloween might be over, but that doesn’t mean dressing up is off the agenda – especially if you’re a celebrity who may take pleasure in hiding their identity. Over the weekend one famous face left fans utterly gobsmacked after stepping out in a completely unexpected getup.

Photographs show the famous personality sporting a handlebar moustache, a yellow bandana, and bulging biceps. In fact, this mystery star could easily have been mistaken for the late wrestling legend Hulk Hogan.

The transformation was so complete you may need to squint your eyes intensely to make out who this modern-day Hulk actually is.

So do you recognise him? Well, the man behind the Hulkamania is none other than football icon Michael Owen. Yes, ‘Mr Boring’ himself.

Owen dressed up as the WWE icon for his youngest daughter’s 18th birthday on Saturday (November 8). Owen was best known for being a striker for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Stoke City as well as playing for the England national team and scoring some pretty big goals for the Three Lions.

The star retired back in 2013 and has since made a move into horse racing as a breeder and owner. He has also worked as a sports pundit and commentator – although just like the Hulkster he’s a divisive figure behind the mic

Owen was worlds away from his usual look as he dressed as the infamous American wrestler for the special occassion. The star was joined by his whole family for the big birthday bash.

Love Island star and eldest daughter Gemma looked as glamorous as ever as she dressed as a flapper girl in a metallic dress. Meanwhile, her mum Louise dressed as Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Son James was seen dressed as a jockey while birthday girl Emily stole the show as Marilyn Monroe. Michael and his wife Louise have been together since they met in primary school in 1984, which is now pushing past 40 years.

They got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2004 and married in a private ceremony on June 24, 2005. He has often opened up about his family.

He has previously told the Daily Mail: “On match days, nobody dared say a word to me. My wife Louise will tell you all about that.

“That my family and Louise tolerated half of what I threw at them and still kept backing me is one of the most profound examples of unconditional love that I can think of.”
