Met Office yellow climate warnings in full as Brits brace for 19-hours of rain and floods

The Met Office has broadened an existing yellow weather warning, indicating that additional regions should now prepare for heavy rainfall.

A yellow alert for rain, lasting 19 hours, was activated on Thursday morning, reports the Mirror. In a statement, the national weather service said: “Warning extended further north and west over Scotland and end time extended through the afternoon.”

Here’s the complete list of areas impacted:.

Central, Tayside and Fife

North East England.

North West England.

SW Scotland, Lothian Borders.

Strathclyde.
