Donald Trump refused to rule out pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell – and batted away questions about the Epstein files, claiming he doesn’t care if more documents are released.

It comes after more than 23,000 documents were released to Congress by Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, including hundreds of emails where Trump’s name is mentioned.

In the emails, Epstein claimed Trump “knew about the girls”, although he acknowledged he “never got a massage”.

“I know nothing about that,” Trump said, asked what Epstein meant by that. “It’s really what did he mean when he spent all his time with Bill Clinton.”

Earlier Trump posted on his Truth Social network, saying he would order Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel to investigate other high profile friends of Epstein, including former President Clinton.

He said he was allowed to order the Department of Justice to go after people because he’s the “chief law enforcement agent” of the United States.

Asked whether he would back the House of Representatives’ push to release more of the Epstein files, Trump said: “I don’t care about it, released or not. If you’re going to do it, you have to go into Epstein’s friends. There’s [LinkedIn founder] Reid Hoffman who spent a lot of time on the island. I was never at his island. This is a Democrat hoax.”

Shortly after Trump made the remarks, Hoffman tweeted: “Trump should release all of the Epstein files: Every person and every document in the files.”

He added: “I want this complete release because it will bring justice for the victims.”

Asked whether he would rule out a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s fixer, who is serving a 20 year prison sentence for sex trafficking, he said: “I haven’t even thought about it. I haven’t thought about for months. Maybe I haven’t thought about it at all.”

Asked why he would not rule it out, he said: “I don’t rule it in or out.”
