President Trump has vowed to ‘bring down’ Bill and Hillary Clinton and may use legal action against them as an excuse not to release The Epstein Files.
Mr Trump ordered US Attorney General Pam Bondi on Friday to launch an official investigation into prominent Democrats linked to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
They include former president Mr Clinton, Larry Summers, the ex-president of Harvard, and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman, a major Democrat donor.
Tonight, a White House source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘The President is determined to bring down Bill and Hillary Clinton and other Democrats who were connected to Epstein.
His argument is, if there was so much to see in The Epstein Files, why didn’t the Democrats release them under President Biden?’
Mr Trump has faced the biggest crisis of his second term because of the Epstein scandal.
He claimed he cut off all contact with the billionaire before Epstein was convicted of child sex offences in 2008, but in an email released this week as part of a 20,000 document dump, Epstein wrote: ‘Of course, he [Trump] knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.’

Mr Trump has denied knowing about Epstein’s crimes and has called the campaign against him ‘a political witch-hunt’.
Launching a legal investigation into the Clintons may delay the release of more Epstein documents.
Congress is set to vote this week on whether to publish all five million documents to the public.
The Clintons have denied any wrongdoing. The former president travelled on Epstein’s plane, dubbed the Lolita Express, but has denied visiting his private island.
